hey all, i just got SS a few weeks ago, and i want to be clear about all the basics before i continue, because i don't want to develop any bad habits that i might find hard to change later on
In the link below i have recorded myself singing two simple scales.
In the first scale i have deliberately 'pulled up' (or i think i might have done) in chest voice from G3 - G4. I'm a little unsure about it, because even though i think i am pulling up my chest voice, it feels as if the resonance is coming from both my mouth and my nose. I have experimented doing the nay nay exercises with this type of singing in order to match the same tone demonstrated by the male singer, but i would really like to confirm whether it is pulling up chest or a mix with a lot of chest pressure so that i know whether it is harmful or not. In this voice i can, with some tension sing up to A4.
In the second scale i transition from chest into my perception of 'head voice' from G#3 - G#4. You will probably notice that as i'm going through my bridge, my voice suddenly diminishes in volume until i reach the highest note. Is this flipping into falsetto before returning to head voice, or am i using falsetto all the way? At th moment this the kind of singing that i'm using to do most of the scale exercises from SS. Using this voice i can sing up to E5 (E above male high C).

I know i have written quite a lot for my first post

but i really want to know the answer to these questions so that i can be sure that i'm doing the ss program the right way. I also know that you guys also get these questions a lot (sorry for repeating them

), but i've been looking through the forums and i can't seem to find the specific info that i'm looking for.
How can i strengthen my voice when i'm going through my bridge so that i don't flip into falsetto, and my volume doesn't decrease?
and~
How can i find a mix between my head and chest registers so that it sounds just like a continuation of my chest voice, like the male singer that demonstrates the exercises on SS?
I've been hearing answers like 'it takes time for your vocal cords to develop strength' and 'use more breath compression' (which i don't doubt are false), but how exactly do i split my resonance between my mouth and head, or add chest pressure to my head voice to make it sound richer and like a continuation of my chest voice?
i'd really love to be hitting those Bflats, B's and tenor C's in a voice that sounds as strong as my chest voice and not a wimpy head voice that is distinctly different from my chest voice. (I know i'm a little ambitious

ops
So i'd really appreciate any feedback, tips advice or replies. Thanks soooo much, this means a lot to me
