How to delete my account
Hi,

I want to delete my account (actually I have to, for my own reasons). I was wondering how to go about this. If it's not possible to do it myself, I would like to ask a moderator or forum administrator to do it for me.

Many thanks

Chest voice range
Hey guys,

I posted this question in the general discussion as well.
Thought this might be a better place to ask.

Is it possible to expand your chest voice range? I don't need much, only a couple of notes. I know pulling up chest is bad, though I really need those few notes to sing the music I like.

Thanks
Well, but if you learn to bridge later, can't you later on choose to bridge early. I want to sing rock, so I think I need that raw power that belting gives.

Your answer really helped though! Thanks a ton!
ahahh if you learn to bridge later, then you can easily brigde later and also bridge early!

if you learn to bridge early you only can bridge easily early! Very Happy!

you are welcome!

I need some help
Hi everyone, I'm new to singing succes and I need some tips.
First off I was wondering if it's really possible to extend your range as much as they say in the advertising.

Can someone give me some pointers, or some critique on my voice. I need to know what I should work on

It's only a short clip, because I don't want to bore you with my terrible singing. Also, sorry for the crappy timing. I was really nervous.
Also, for some the reason the audio got really weird when I recorded it, and my accent is weird. Im from the netherlands.

Thanks!
Oh and I think I need to specify. When I speak about extending my range, I really want to improve my chest voice. I have read and heared a lot about mixed voice. But those really high heavy mix notes are always extremely loud (right?). So I need to extend my chest voice range as well.

Is it possible? Like 3 or maybe 4 notes would be more than enough for the kind of music I would like to be able to sing.

Thanks guys, I would really appreciate it if someone could answer this for me.
From what i can hear, you already have a pretty decent chest voice and were mostly in tune.

If you want mix voice you'd need to work on your head voice, as as you say you were nervous then, but when you're nervous you tense your muscles more without wanting too which then cuts your range. So, extending your range more than you say you need to for the music you want will benefit you greatly, and will probably give you more confidence in your voice.

Also, practicing tongue trills will make more tone quality appear by loosening you're muscles that get in the way. As well as vocal fry and Pharyngeal NG's to thin out your vocal cords without relying on your mouth for tone.

Hope this helps.

Steve.

Recording of myself...tone issues...
http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10433606

For this recording, I used the method of humming, then opening to the vowel. So, this whole recording for me felt like I was humming...the same sensation.

I think it might make me sound to "mouthy" or "collapsed" or something...surfer dude ish..i dunno. what do you think?

The point for me is that this method of singing feels effortless...but perhaps too pinched off or "stuck in the mouth" ish.
Wow, you have one awesome voice man. You sound amazing. How was your voice before you started using Singing Succes? I'm new to all this, though I'm a bit skeptical about the before and afters they have on the site.

Did you improve as much as you hoped? You sound amazing anyway. Great job
Hi phunk. thanks for the words! Very encouraging.

Singing Success is interesting...at times it seems to offer ground breaking tips for singing, but other times, nothing helps me but my 83 year old voice teacher who only teaches from the "McKlowsky" method. In other words, I do not have a "before and after" with singing success; just a sad journey of self discovery.

For me, the most important thing that singing success offers is a detailed look at chord closure and compression, which is just a single part of the singing process.

Imitation is probably the most effective teacher. Thanks again for the feedback!
