No warming up for a year!!
I haven't trained my voice and I haven't sang in a year.
Have I lost all my high and low notes? Or are they still there if I start warming up again?

Nick
Well the voice is a muscle, so it would be as if you hadn't exercised in a year. You probably won't be able to stretch as far in your range for the first few weeks but you should get everything back fairly quickly. Depends on how often and how long you practice.
You may lose some of the high notes, but it will come back quickly with warming up again,, Once i stopped doing the exercises because of a matter of health.. when i came back to practicing a figured out some difficulties in the beginning, but through the days my voice came back even with greater power and i recovered my vocal range, also The techniques that i thought were hard to learn ...

Quick Fix for Mucus and Phlegm
Could you guys tell me some quick fixes for Mucus and Phlegm in throat?
I have been having this problem for over a week now. It irritates me.
I had terrible trouble with phlegm for several years and tried all sorts of dietary solutions. However it turned out to be a result of poor technique - I was straining my voice by singing too loud and forcing chest voice too high. When I got a better understanding of mixed voice and keeping the larynx lower the phlegm and mucus stopped being a problem - it was simply my body protecting my vocal chords against damage
Whenever I feel that way I brush my teeth, and ESPECIALLY my tongue, and it goes away. Becareful not to brush too far back if you can't take it because you'll activate the gag reflex, and cause acid to come up- so take it easy.

How to make the mix stronger?
Hello! I do my vocal traning with Singing Success and Mastering Mix programms, but as far as I am from Russia I don't catch all the pecularities, because the programs are in English (you know lol)

Here are the link with my singing
http://soundcloud.com/notverb/how-to-make-the-mix-stronger
High noted are in the begining and in the end of the recording (the second part is in Russian)

I suppose that I found the mix but it's a kind of "opera-like".

So the question: HOW TO MAKE IT STRONGER???more aggressive, becuase I sing rock and the sound like this does not suit my music!

As I wrote I have the programs, so maybe somebody could PLEASE tell me what exact exercsises are for my purpose - to make the mix stronger??

Thanks to everybody in advance!
Thank you for you answer, Caitlyn!
Yes I did the "monkey-oo aa" exersise, I can do it, but I didn't try to slide down the range after right making this sound. I'll try thank you!

And do you know on the average how much time does it take to make the mix strong - month, half a year, years? I do the exersises everyday! lol I'm very eager.

I reloaded the link

I will be happy to any comments!
I think it would depend on the thickness of your vocal cords, as well as how long you've been singing and practice. I would say probably about a month to really have a consistant mix. Sometimes practicing everyday on a hard mix could be too much for the cords so maybe only work 2 or 3 days a week about for only 15 minutes at a time may be a good way to build strength in a positive way.

Is it even possible to schedule a lesson with Brett Manning?
I was just wondering if anyone could.
ive wondered the same thing lol... im sure it is. but its probably more of a matter by his schedule and where he can fit you in, cause i think with other BMA coaches their schedules are alot more flexible to yours. ive been talking with jason catron alot, he just moved to LA and im gonna start going there for live coachings im in AZ so its like a 7 hour drive lol, really cool guy though, does skype lessons all day everyday, he can fit you in really soon if your lookin to book a lesson right now. i honestly think hes the next best choice if you cant get brett.
Yes it is possible hehe. I don't know how long you have been singing or using any of Brett's programs, obviously, but there are certain requirements before someone can work with Brett (mainly so it wouldn’t be a "waste" of your time/money). The studio wants to make sure the people have a certain amount of knowledge about the voice and their own voice before letting them jump in the deep end. Brett also travels to give seminars all over. If you've worked with the programs or the other coaches you would be able to have a lesson with Brett. But his schedule does fill up fast. I work wih Brett but mainly Shelby and she is an incredible coach and I highly recommend her. I wish you luck and hope this helped!
